Tooth Fillings

Tooth fillings are small restorations that are used to repair areas of tooth decay or fractures in the surface of your tooth enamel. While some cavities may not result in any type of symptom whatsoever, others may show signs of:

  • Sensitivity

  • Rough edges

  • Food packing between the teeth

A tooth can be filled with silver amalgam or tooth colored composite. When possible, Sleep Dentistry of Spokane prefers to use composite fillings as these are much smaller and are less invasive to your tooth. In fact, they bond directly with your tooth enamel, enabling us to place them in many different areas throughout your mouth.

If you want to complete all of your tooth fillings and other dental treatments at one time, ask about our sedation options.

Remember to schedule your regular cleaning and exam every 6 months, so that we can identify signs of slight or severe tooth decay in order to determine the appropriate treatment.
